HELLO THERE!

A little bit about myself… my name is Shannon Luongo. I love plants, animals and crafting!

3 years ago I graduated from Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. I first became inspired to go to massage school because of my dad. Like too many out there, his back aged 3x faster than he did, leaving him in chronic pain. Halfway through my senior year of high school, I was walking on my dad's back, (which helped to give him some relief) my mother had asked if that would be a path I’d be interested in. From there my journey began and I’ve enjoyed every step of the way.

So, Why Did I Get Into Equine Massage Therapy?

I LOVE ANIMALS

I’ve grown up with cats and dogs, and currently own 3 cats and a German Shepard. Back in 2019, when I first applied for the human program at Bancroft, I also got all the information for their animal program. Having the future plan that I would graduate from the human program and go right into the small animal program. However, 2020 happened and that plan fell by the wayside. I worked as a licensed massage therapist for 2 years before stumbling upon a video. The video was of a chiropractor working with a horse. That’s what sparked my interest to relook into the animal program. The only problem was there was one program- the equine program.

I had no experience with horses. Luckily one of my massage clients owned horses and let me come visit. I went to their farm countless times throughout that year to learn the basics. I didn’t realize how much I would fall in love with working with horses. Now I’ve devoted myself to helping as many horses as I can.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your health, long-term.

SHARING KNOWLEDGE

Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing, and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it.

HELPING YOU FEEL BETTER

Massage is a tool for healing. Whether it's stress, illness, or simply pampering yourself, the benefits of massage can be life-changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.
